If you don't already visit the Blessed Sacrament in Adoration...I'd like to propose a challenge to you this week.

Not sure exactly what "format" you want us to log in. But I've been doing weekly adoration on Saturday nights from 7 to 8 pm for the last twelve years in our Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Would never miss it for the world!

Here's the last date then....10-11-08 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm

We've been signed up for 10 years (hard to believe) at our Perpetual Adoration Chapel from 8-9pm on Tuesday.

That photo of our Adoration Chapel is an old one. In the last five years or so it looks quite different with a beautiful dark wood "reredos" surrounding it. I'd have to look up the word "reredos" for the exact definition but basically it's a nicely wood carved thing in the back of it which looks ever so much richer than the plain wallpaper wall in the photo I have on the website.

I try to stop in at 7:30 for half an hour a couple of mornings a week, and most weeks I manage at least one if not two mornings. There is one woman at that early hour who comes for 90 mins (there's a sign-in/sign-out sheet) but at that hour most people come just for 10-20 mins.

I used to get scared off by the term "adoration" - it always suggested some sort of rapturous staring - and I couldn't imagine what people were doing in there! I learned otherwise when I went along with a friend a few years ago.

Yesterday was the first time I was able to go in over a week, due to travel and illness, and I sat for half an hour with my Magnificat and Word Among Us, and was happy just to be in the Lord's presence.

Stopped in Monday for about 15 minutes praying for a sign about what to do about our dog, Bailey.

I dropped my boys off for their camping trip this afternoon (it is hard to send them and not go along) and then I drove to the Adoration Chapel.
