Just curious what your plans are for Father's Day. It totally tip-toed up behind me this year! EEK!

IV has some free gift ideas, which seem doable. I like the lawn mowing one...if I knew how to start the new mower I could surprise DH with that!

I have NO clue. I scored a certificate for a discounted 1/2 hour massage. DH works retail and is now in charge of the freight team so he's doing a lot more lifting etc. So he needs a good massage.

We usually do small things for Father's Day but this year I am contemplating a movie camera for the new grandchild.

We had some plans to get Peter a travel mug with the kids' picture (through snapfish or Shutterfly -- I can't remember). That's as far as I got -- when last weekend he came home with several things he wanted and declared them his father's day gifts. We're on a tight budget right now, so that took care of that! (It was kinda funny. He justified the purchases by pointing out that because Mother's Day is during the school year, the kids made gifts for me at school. Of course I pointed out that a plastic cup covered with strips of tissue paper with a flower in it wasn't quite the same as his new toys! LOL!)

Other than that, I'll have the kids make cards. I'll make a big breakfast, and whatever he wants for dinner, and a black forest cake.

Most digital cameras will take video. If you opt to go that route, just make sure it's very user friendly for him, and add a large capacity memory card/stick for it. If any of the kids live near dad, burning a DVD from the memory card can be done so he doesn't have to fiddle with the camera so much. My Hewlett-Packard (aka hewlett-slackard) needs to be replaced too. The battery door is broken and held shut with a rubber band, and the buttons are non-responsive the first 12 times you push any of them after you first turn on the camera. Outside of that, I am clueless on video cameras.
