My favorite Christian book of all time! This book was extremely instrumental in my journey from "good enough practicing Catholic" to being really excited about my faith-the truth of it! I have read just about everything Lewis has written and think he's wonderful. Quite sure there was a huge party in Heaven the day he arrived...

For me, it was light reading (challenged during college yrs) looking through glasses, miracles abound! Now I remember the book being a real pleasure, in what you'd call "such trials." I need to look up the Author for I like trying to find out who wrote these, SIS

Grrr...I wish I had read this post a few days ago! :-) I'm half way through "Chasing Grace: Reflections of a Catholic Girl Grownup" but I have "Mere Christianity" sitting on my bookshelf just waiting to be read. I think I'll start it as soon as I'm done with "Chasing Grace", hopefully by the weekend.

I'm so slow that you'll probably finish it before I do. :-)

Would you like to discuss it when you're done? It looks like taking it one chapter at a time is the best way to do it.

Oh sure, put the pressure on the exhausted pregnant woman to hurry up and finish a book. ;-)

I'd love to discuss it with you. I'll let you know as soon as I start it. :D

I haven't read it -- but if you like his writing, check out "The Great Divorce." It raises some interesting questions about sin. I've also read his book about his wife's death -- and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, of course.

I don't think I've posted "the news" on this board. Baby #3 is due to make an appearance sometime around Aug. 20, 2004. We have our first OB appt. today. I can't wait!
