This friend again asks if I want to go to church with her and her mother today.

They sound a little Anglican.... You know, follow the Catholic traditions to a point but are separate from the Pope.

Oh, and the feast day of St. Hugh of Lincoln was the 18th.... so the must have been celebrating it the closest Sunday.

I don't understand how they can call themselves Roman Catholic! When England broke a way from the Pope and Rome, they were no longer Roman Catholic, they were the Church of England. Just knowing there are people out there like this, just drives me nuts!!

If they broke away from the Vatican, then they are not a true Catholic

Looking at their website, they seem to be part of the SSPX movement, and I think the leaders of that were excommunicated.
