Hi Lisa,

Good to see you here. I'm in the same boat as you. DS will be making his First Communion this year, too.

Just wanted to suggest visiting the Catholic Parenting board on ParentsPlace. This one is nice, but the one over there is a bit 'busier'.

Here is an interesting tidbit - If she is wearing gloves, make sure she removes them if she is receiving the host in her hand.

My DD made her First Communion this past May. The Sisters were thorough in the way they prepared the kids and parents. Our kids could not have purses, gloves or rosaries during mass, they tend to play show-n-tell. The Sisters cautioned us about going overboard. As they said, $400.00 for a dress for a few hours would feed a lot of hungary people.
