Yikes, Jen! What a mess! And that poor dog. He must have been really frantic.
We had a nice Christmas. Christmas Eve is always with my family, and follows the same routine. We celebrated with DH's family on the 26th, which left Christmas Day wide open. I asked the kids to choose a menu that was "Christmasy" but not a lot of work, and they decided on shepherd's pie, far east celery and angel food cake. They were pretty proud of that!
Post-Christmas, Henry had stomach flu, Julia has a fever and sore throat, and Eddie just started with stomach flu a few hours ago. I'm going crazy trying to get work done with everyone around. I don't have a lot of work so I had some fun stuff planned, but with the illnesses we haven't been able to go anywhere. I also seem completely unable to get them all going in the morning. If this is a preview of summer vacation, I'm in big trouble.
Happy new year!
Jen, your Christmas sounds like one of those you won't soon forget (but would like to).
