Thanks for asking. I had a blast! I got to sit up late visiting with old friends. I ate when I wanted to eat. I took myself out to the movies. Except for the retirement, I was on no time schedule. I feel so recharged!! dh is gone this week and will be gone 8 weeks this spring...I really needed it.

The retirement was very touching. He talked about some things that are very dear to my heart and very close to home. He brought awards for a few special people we know---he even brought me up before the formation of 300 to talk about dh and our family. People just gasped when they were told that I came all the way from San Fran--LOL. It was very nice. I hope dh could someday do something similar at the end of his career.

I went to see the movie Constintine. It was very well done. I enjoyed it. I was sort of suprised since I'm reading this book on Medjugorje that one of Mary's messages was referenced and is the purpose of the plot.

Sounds like you had such a nice time...love the no schedule thing!! And very cool about the movie in reference to your current readings, it means so much more.

Hey! I've been on the USS Missouri when it was in dry dock at the Port of Portland for repair before it's final trip across the pacific. How very symbolic to retire aboard one of the most note worthy ships of it's day.

DH Rick thought it was fitting...surrendering after the war...LOL! He feels like he put in his 20 years so they surrendered to him, he won!

That's great that you saw it in dry dock...doesn't it feel so majestic and powerful? Just to think of the history there, it's an amazing ship.

Also, have to apologize for spelling your name wrong...one extra "e" for me..."e"mpty headed today!! :)
