I was doing really well the first couple of weeks. I was working on praying the Rosary on a regular basis. I haven't really prayed it for the last couple, things just seem to get in the way. No excuse though. Should do better, but sort of like New Year's Resoluntions, my Lenten ones just don't seem to work. Kellie
I've been pretty much in bed with morning sickness for all of lent and spent a week in the hospital in February because of dehydration. So abstaining from alcohol is not an issue right now. ;-) I also had lots of time for prayer and reflection, but's it's hard living next door to the church and hearing the bells but not being able to attend mass. I'm not even sure I will be well enough for Easter mass. We just moved to this wonderful little village and I love the church here. Christmas was so special, so I was looking forward to celebrating Easter as well. So prayers for a strong digestive system are much appreciated!
At one of my childhood parishes, they brought in a few priests we didn't care for here and there, but God can work through the person or even around the person to communicate with us! While it probably affects parish life quite a bit, mass is usually universal and imho that's what counts most. Karen, that's a great prayer that's applicable for more than just this situation with minor modifications. I think I'll use it to pray for DH's boss. ;-)

I used to be a regular here, but haven't been here in about forever.
I'm not sure how this Lent will end up being.
