Welcome!  I think that is so cool that you're making the veil yourself.  Is sewing one of your hobbies?  I'm horrible at it (unfortunately).  I really should take the time to learn how to thread my sewing machine.  Each time I get it out, I get so frustrated.

Hi, I'm Beth.  Have no kids and do not know if God will ever bless me and DH that way, but I come here because I am very interested in all things Catholic.  While I have no kids, I am an educator, and I have a question for you: as you say one of your children is special-needs, how do you think your private school does in serving that child?  In my experience, private schools can either be very good or very bad at that.

Express!

They have been wonderful this year my kids were in public last year and after basically being talked to like a child or a student by the adminstration and after he banned my father from picking up my childern from school I pulled them from the public system and they are both THRIVING in private

Beth, I've heard the same thing about how private schools are either fantastic or horrible when dealing with special needs children. I think the school my children go to is one that is bad at it (or so I've heard). They just don't have the resources or specialists available that our public school has. Our public school district is very good, so I wouldn't have any problem sending the kids there if we could no longer afford Catholic school.

Hi and welcome to the board, I am Jeanne and I have three kids.  Good luck on the veil and best wishes for a beautiful first communion, My youngest went through that two years ago already and it's a little sad knowing that's over for us.
