Question about modern prophets

This was just something that came to mind today. We read about the ancient prophets, but are there any modern (within the past 1000 years) prophets?

I've never really given rapture much thought. I don't recall ever hearing it discussed except in conversations with non-Catholic friends. I just did a little search and this is what I found on the Church's postion http://www.catholicpages.com/vm/index.asp?vm_id=6&art_id=1705

I find the idea of people being secretly snatched up (and especially those who drive around with the sticker "In case of rapture this car will be driverless -or something like that) a bit arrogant. Yes we are called to live as Christ taught, but we cannot presume to know our own judgement much less that we are so special that we will be snatched up prior to Judgement Day. Yes there will be a Second Coming, but I don't believe that a 200 year old idea is how it will happen.

It seems to me there is a larger focus on prophecy/prophets within the Protestant community. I've never heard a Catholic priest even address future events except to say that Jesus will return one day. Most Catholics aren't even aware that there is a second coming. I heard an anecdote in which JFK asked Billy Graham about it...he said, "Is it true that Christ will return? And if so, why don't we Catholics hear about it?" Graham answered, "He is coming again and we all should be paying closer attention."

What are your thoughts on the rapture, for example? Curious to read others' opinions...
