Sooo Embarassed....

Today, my perfectly healthy pre-schooler threw up in during Mass. NO WARNING Whatsoever. Luckily it missed the cloth covered pew. My other daughter ran to the bathroom with us for papertowels and we managed to clean up child, mother, and floor reasonably well. It was family Mass and I am sure everyone was sympathetic. I never remember someone throwing up in church before. Has this ever happened in your church? Should we go back to the parent's chapel from now on (she is so proud of being old enough to sit with the people)? Or do we attend next week and pretend it never happened? I would have never taken her to Mass sick. I think it was just a bad reaction to her morning eggs.

Take her to Mass and pretend it never happened. While I'm sure it was a horrible experience, I couldn't help but giggle at the memories it evoked. I went to Catholic school, 1-12, and...well, let me just say that, if there's a school in your parish, the church has been thrown up in before. At my school, it was especially common during Lent, with all the incense. I wouldn't give it a second thought.
