Summer plans?

Do you have anything planned for the summer?
DH came home from work looking totally run down. The poor guy needs a vacation. He asked me what we were doing this summer, because I guess I make all the plans now (LOL!). If it was left totally up to me I would stay close to home, but I know he probably wants to hit the road. Ian really wants to visit a water park. Last year he was only 4, so we did swimming lessons at the Y instead. This year he might be big enough to go down a lazy river or something. I was thinking about looking into water parks within driving range. There are a couple nearby, but I think an overnight trip might be fun.
I've also got Ian signed up for summer enrichment classes at school. It only goes through the end of the month and is mornings only. He gets to hang out with a group of 3-5 year olds for 2.5 hours each morning, and each week has a theme. This week was "Summer Fun," next week is "Fairy Tales" and the following is (his favorite) "Bugs, Slugs, and All Things Green." Beyond that, I'm not sure. I'll probably sign him up for swimming again this summer. I don't want him to get bored around here.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

We've already had four weeks of "summer' in AL.... the first two weeks were winding down from the school year as well as preparing for graduation/graduation party. .... last week was incredibly relaxing.....
this week (and for another 2 wks) 16yo ds is going to engineering camp at AL A&M, next week is VBS, the following week 9yo ds has cub scout camp... then we have friends coming for most of the week
then we have another quiet/relaxing week... then eldest ds goes to Boy Scout camp.... then we have 3 wks of summer but two will be very busy with Abigail being in King and I
in addition Madeleine has babysat almost fulltime this summer....due to the boss' vacation schedule as well as TDYs, dh could NOT get vacation when wanted it so it was a no go for anything this summer...he'll be home the week the rest ofus are at VBS

We FINALLY finished making vacation plans today. We're going to Virginia in August - a hefty 8-hour drive, but comparatively easy after our family vacation to Ireland last summer.
The kids are 17, 14, and 9, so finding things that everyone enjoys is getting a little easier. We'll be going to Charlottesville and Williamsburg, VA, and finishing with two days at Virginia Beach just for relaxing.
I'm already thinking about where to go for vacation next summer. It will be DD#1's last vacation with us before she goes to college, and who knows whether we'll be able to take her on vacations any more after that (probably, if she goes to a Catholic college where vacations are usually around Easter; probably not if she goes to a college where the big break is in early to mid March). England, maybe, or maybe CA, which I go to all the time for work but they never have been.
The rest of the summer for DH and the kids: Cub Scout camp for 9yo DS, hopefully a job for 17yo DD, and probably creative projects for 14yo DD who LIVES to make music and art. The girls will have homework too. And DH expects to do some projects around the house and (crossing my fingers) supervise having the house re-sided.
Me, I'll be going to work every day as usual! And I have a monastery retreat scheduled in mid-July which I am very much looking forward to.

Well, I took my little jaunt to Pennsylvania to visit my Poor Clare friend.
