.."as a result, many of his disciples returned to their former way of life..." Simon Peter answered "..to whom shall we go?...we have come to believe and are convinced that You are the Holy One of God...." Our Pastor's homily related to the decisions we make in life that we live with and what motivates us to decide. Well, DH and I are going thru some trying times right now and this exemplifies what carries us thru and teaches us the correct way to follow. Oh, how I find a relation to EVERY WEEK's Gospel and Homily..

What are your feelings and relation to today's Gospel?!

How true we can find the Gospel speaking to us each week. This past week brings me to lament the fact that so many "Christians" no longer walk with the Eucharistic Christ. He is here, right here, at every Catholic Mass every day. But so many choose to walk another path instead of walking the Catholic path.

Gospel (Jn 6:60-69) http://www.catholic.org/clife/daily_reading/

Many of Jesus'disciples who were listening said,

"This saying is hard; who can accept it?"

Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this,

he said to them, "Does this shock you?

What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending

to where he was before?

It is the spirit that gives life,

while the flesh is of no avail.

The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.

But there are some of you who do not believe."

Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe

and the one who would betray him.

And he said,

"For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me

unless it is granted him by my Father."

I really believe in what God is saying here, in other words "He who believes in Him shall never die, but have eternal life." He's merely saying that you will not perish, have faith, believe in yourself & others, ect. I know there is some point in time where you can't or won't do it alone when nobody else's there. That's where I'd fall & drag you in. All this means is that you don't have faith to believe in the greater world yourself. Who knows about who's betraying who? You can only SEE it in their lives. Doing something about it is another journey in this small world.
