Yes Im divorced, No I was not married by a priest or married in the Church, yes I got my childern baptized and they are now going through 1st Communion class, yes I did RCIA to "catch up" before my divorce, almost had ex on board to convert BUT after a major medical procedure on my youngest he LEFT, no I didnt plan on this and no Ive not   been datig hundereds of men etc.. after my divorce I focused all my left over attention to my childern and bringing them up in the Catholic faith BUT when I get accused of being a fake ad I dont belong that hurts. honestly *tmi Im sure* I have been "chaste" snice augest of 2003 (daughter was born in May of 2004) I have talked to my preist and the Bishop and they have both reassured me that I am more than welcome and that I am doing a wonderful job, so I guess the question becomes Why do some feel that "only" certian people are allowed in the Catholic Church?????? Thank you for allowing me to vent

I don't know.  Welcome...our Church is richer because you and your family are in it.

A bit of advice from 12-Step Land:  "What people think about me is none of my business."  I would NOT worry about it.  At all.

Because some people are jerks, and religion has absolutely nothing to do with it.  Have members of your parish actually said to you that you don't belong there?  If so, they obviously have issues.

Maybe it's not up to me, but as far as I'm concerned, you belong in the Church.  I don't think you are a fake.  What's more, you probably have more business in the Church than Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi (and those two met with the Pope and took communion at the inaugural Mass.  Ick.)
