Woo-Hoo!

My sister's family welcomed their sixth bundle of joy on June 1st! I'm an aunt again!

Whine:

We're not going to get to meet the newest member of the family until the end of the month, if not longer. My sis had to have an emergency C-section. They're in Mississippi, and are scheduled to move back home on the 18th to close on their house. I'm pretty sure they will have to postpone the closing. I miss my sis!

Wish/Prayer:

Any prayers for my sister would be appreciated. She had the emergency C-section because both her heart rate and the baby's plummeted during labor. The baby is fine now, but my sister's heart rate still hasn't come back to where it should be. About a year ago she had some tests run because she was having fainting spells. They never officially diagnosed her, but my mom has a minor heart condition that's hereditary (mitral valve prolapse) that we think she also has.

Praying for your sister......

depending on their lender, they could lose their interest rate if they don't close ontime... many times it's only locked in for a certain # of days..... they may want to see about getting a POA to their realtor or family member to go to closing for them....

we were not present at the closing of the sale of our home in GA or FL nor the purchase of our home in AL

Thanks, Renee. I think they're still trying to be here for it. I just found out that my sister is doing better and has been released from the hospital. She was originally planning on driving up for the closing while BIL flew out a week or so later. She has the OK to drive in 2 weeks as long as she's not taking her pain meds. Uh...yeah. I cannot imagine driving from Mississippi to the NW corner of Indiana alone with six kids (ages newborn, 21 months, 3.5 yrs, 5 yrs, 7 yrs, and 9 yrs) and 2 dogs while recovering from a C/S. My mom is out there with her, so I'm sure they will think of something. :S

WOOHOOO - the last day of school for the younger 2 is Friday, half day (what's the point?)

WHIIIIIINE - I am having more physical challenges with this pregnancy than the previous 3 combined. My ds15. I don't know where to begin. I don't like him very much right now. DH works a crazy shift. I'm basically a single parent because of the shift. I almost want to go back to funky ever-changing regular retail shifts.

Wish/Prayer - that we're able to catch up the bills and improve our credit scores enough to get a mortgage and find a house with at least 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and enough space to allow both dh and I places to call our "caves". That I don't completely pummel my ds15. That we can soon adjust to dh's new shift so that we can return to some sense of normalcy again.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Aw, Jeanne. I hear you on the mopiness feeling caused by the end of the school year. Ian just did his preschool graduation ceremony last week. It really was a bittersweet moment.
