Jeanne you might have seen it.

When do you think the wisemen made it to see Jesus?

How many wisemen do you think there were?

I read Matthew and it really doesn't say, but was always told 5 days later that the Wisemen arrived. But it also said that Herod ordered the death of all children 2 and younger. So that leads one to believe he may have been older, plus they were no longer in the stable but in a home.

Now the number of wisemen isn't stated either so where did Three come from? I know their names are listed somewhere in the readings but I did not see them.

The reason I am asking this is I do not remember most of my teachings from childhood. I attended CCD and most of the people I attended with say the same thing. A friend recently told me she is getting question from her son, 16 about why they are catholic and she said she can't answer him. I am searching my religion and trying to find answers for questions that have been asked of me to help me understand my faith more. I in my heart I am Catholic and I will never stray from the church, but on the other hand I don't have answers to simple questions. Maybe there are none but in the search I might find better understanding.

Thanks for your imput.

Jan

The majority of the details of the Three Kings/Wisemen come from Christian Tradition and not specifically the Scriptures.
