I was wondering where you were going with this post till I read it lol. Good to know what day of the week it falls on though. That has an impact in our work schedules and stuff. My merchandising job is very flexible but I have to be mindful of shipping delays and stuff. So holidays like Memorial Day, make an impact in my work. Also with Christmas and New Years being shipping holidays for the carriers, my schedule gets pushed back a day or two because the shipments don't get to the stores on their usual days. Dh works retail too, so he has to work the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.

During college, I was a merchandiser for American Greetings... the flexibility of the job was great.....on days with no classes I could go in as early as the store would let me in the front door and get most of my work done before customers arrived....

I am a merchandiser for a publishing company. I love the flexibility of the job and while it can be physically taxing, the open schedule is what keeps me.
