Would appreciate prayers

The past year or more, I've come to realize what I was agreeing to when I vowed to love "for worse". There have been some rocky times. No infidelity or anything of that sort. More, I think, just growing in different directions, some anxiety issues, extended famiy issues, and some prescription med issues. It has been really hard. Talking seems to make it worse.
This weekend we are attending a Retrouvaille weekend. Kind of like Marriage Encounter, but for marriages with issues. Please pray for open minds, open hearts. That it bears good fruit. I'm excited, but also nervous.
Thanks, Karen

Lots of prayers for you, Karen. I hope the retreat this weekend helps. Is it an overnight retreat?

The weekend was very long - we had to be there for 7:30 on Friday and didn't get home until after 6 pm on Sunday. Lots of ups and downs. Lots of one-on-one time with your spouse. No group sharing. When we left Sunday, I think we were disappointed nd not really sure where we were headed....The Road to Emmaus, they said, after the story in the Bible where two disciples were walking along after the crucifixion. Disappointed that all they had hoped for was gone, but joined by Jesus (who they did not recognize) on the walk. Some people left "on the Road to Damascus" .... Sure of what they needed to do and where they were going. This week, however, has been very good. We have continued to make time each day to share our feelings about certain topics. Retrouvaille is a peer ministry of the Catholic church, and bill themselves as a "lifeline for marriages". There is a priest on the team, but it is not in-your-face religious. People of all faiths - or none at all - are welcome there. Not sure where our road is leading, but Jesus is walking with us, and we have our first follow-up session this afternoon. Thank you all for the prayers!
