middle easter spicy carrot salad

5-6 carrots, peeled, boiled for about 10 minutes. remove the carrots, let cool just a little, and then slice
2 garlic cloves, smashed
tsp each of cumin, hot paprika, salt
juice of half a lemon
now, there are two options:
mix all the spices together, add the lemon juice and alittle water and oil until its a pourable sauce, and pour over the still warm carrots, let cool.
heat a little oil in a small pot, add the garlic, let it cook for a minute, add the spices, let it cook for a few seconds, then add about 1/2 cup of water and the lemon. then add the carrot slices, let it cook down till the sauce is mostly absorbed.
