We hold our FHE's on Sunday nights since dh works on Monday nights.

This week's topic was on reverence. Johnathan read the story out of the latest Friend "A Lesson in Reverence". Then we talked about how to make Primary and Sacrament meeting more reverent, as well as how to create reverence when we're at home. One of the things that was suggested was to play classical or church music when things get too rowdy or when we start forgetting how to be nice. Each of the kids got to pick a favorite reverent type song to put on a playlist for just such an occasion. Then we played the music while eating dessert.

What a great lesson! I love that your kids got to choose the songs, and that you played them during refreshments.

I like the music idea, but my kids seem to not have a love for music like I do. They just get louder when music plays.... We need to work on that.
