Annoying Toys

From talking and flashing to creating an unbelievable mess, kids' toys can drive even the most unflappable moms crazy -- especially when they're going off in the middle of the night and you have a meeting at 8 a.m. And isn't it always the most annoying toys that are the ones they love most?  We asked moms which toys they'd rather throw in the garbage than keep in the house for one more day. Here, a roundup of I-can't-take-it-anymore kids' toys.

I think the worst we've ever had was a drum set my mom gave my youngest.  That bad boy ended up on the patio so he could entertain the neighbors! ;)  What's the most annoying toy your kids have?

Thankfully, we don't have many annoying toys, but DD got this horrible Fur-Real Friends monkey that is super irritating.  It was cute at first, but now I just want to toss it out the window.  She loves it, though, so I hope the novelty wears off soon.

Oh, those can be annoying! We have a FurReal Dog, which probably isn't as annoying as the monkey, but that thing can drive me batty with all the panting and barking! I thought of another thing that's driving me crazy right now. Landon got a powerwheel motorcycle for Christmas this year. It's too cold and wet/snowy outside for him to play with it so he's been driving it in circles around the house. I want to figure out how to disconnect that stinking horn! It drives me nuts! Haha!

We got drums for my oldest but wasn't too bad. Then again DH played so you kind of have to have a high tolerance. To me annoying is the ones that go off out of the blue. Last year youngest got one a remote control car that would short circut and move on its on. More freaking then annoying. I HATE playdough now as a parent because it gets in my rugs no matter what I try. Legos are great occupiers (my ADHD kids was tied up for DAYS on a set) but then they build it, destroy and we have those little tiny lego peices.

This year top of my annoying toy list is the rainbow loom. Yah tons of fun spending HOURS trying to make those tiny bands into fancy bracelets. Even the simple loop eventually wore on my arthitis.

OH... Legos. Gotta love them. Especially when you step on them. ACK! And that remote control car would have freaked me the heck out! LOL! I've been intrigued by the rainbow loom but my boys show no interest. Sounds like maybe I dodged a bullet with that one!

We got the rainbow loom, but haven't had the time to sit down with it, hopefully this weekend. They are supposed to be some really good tutorials on YouTube for it. The Furby Boom is on my list! I send a list to my inlaws each year of gifts for the kids, well my DH gave the 6 year old a phone to be able to call and text and relatives, so she texted my MIL she wanted a Furby Boom, and of course my MIL bought it for her! Ugh!! That thing is ridiculous!!!

I'm so glad none of my boys have wanted a Furby. They do look like they'd drive a person nutty!
