My Son is 4.5 and has been potty trained since he turned 3. He has been traied throught the night since last August. Lately he started to have accedents.(which he had not had since last summer).

Do you think it is becaseu of the new baby? What have any of you done? Just wondering and would like suggestions.

Thank you

First, welcome!!! Congrats on your new baby!

I think the new arrival "may be" an issue to your little one. I would give him some time to adjust. You may want to find somet hings to do with him that emphasize HIS specialties and uniqueness. Find something that he can do that the baby can't do....like make sundaes, perhaps. Or make a pizza together for the two of you. OR go on a day trip jus tthe two of you. Anything that makes him feel like even though this baby is WONDERFUL, it doesn't mean he isn't. Everyone is special in their own way. Maybe letting him know why YOU think HE is so wonderful will help.

As for the accidents, I wouldn't give themt oo much attention....that can backfire. Baby pees in diapers and so it's only natural for him to test his limits and your expectations of him and his development. Just have him change himself, so he sees it's not something mommies do with bigger boys. He will get tired of the lack of attention and the work behind it all, and go back to using the potty. I promise! =)
