Find a Conversation

My son is 4 years old and since he was about 3, he started repeating things constantly. I haven't had him evaluated, but his pre-k teachers and others don't think he has autism, but it is kinda weird to me his behavior. Does anyone else's children repeat things constantly? For example, he is really into carwash. He will keep talking about it and asking about it and everytime we go by it, he will repeat the same things over and over. He will say "There's the carwash. I wonder if its open". And he will say that whether we are near the car wash or at home or in a different state, he will say the same things. Or he will say, I love riding Papa's John Deere tractor, and that was over 2 years ago. He will just bring it up at any time, throughout the day saying " I love riding Papa's John Deere tractor. He will say it in the morning and then in the afternoon, and then at night. I know I read that some children repeat because it is comforting, but is this normal? He also does this jump when he is talking which is puzzling. It is rapid, fast jumps. Am I reading too much into this? Maybe he is just quirky and this is how he expresses his feelings? He does look people in the eye, says he loves us and very conversational.
