DH got a job (and other news)

Well, it's not exactly what he wanted as far as salary, but it's better than nothing... Last year, he went independent (he's a software developer, the same as I am, although we have different skill sets). Anyway, his last contract ended at Thanksgiving, so he's been home since. He took the opportunity to redo the powder room at his dad's house, among other things, so he kept busy most of the time (of course, this winter has actually been cold so he didn't get to golf, much to his dismay). So he starts on 4/21. He's looking at it as temporary until the market changes and he can go independent again (now that the money is a lot less than he wanted, he's really looking at it as temporary). So we'll see...

In other news, my best friend had her baby today (their third, but it's their first girl). I can't wait to go and see her tomorrow night - DH will pick up the boys and I'll go right from work. She named her Meghan Grace. She doesn't have very easy pregnancies, so I was glad that it was a fast labor and she can get back to normal again. I've really felt bad for her these past few months.

And as for our boys, not too much is new. Bryan pooped in the tub on Friday night. That's the first time that ever happened! James never did that. Well, James jumped out of the tub right away, and Bryan just kept looking at it and crying. He was pretty traumatized! He cried for a good 20 minutes. He did tell us tonight that he had to go potty, and he actually did (just pee), so that's a good sign. But I'm not holding my breath! He's either completely disinterested or just plain lazy (he'll be 3 in July but only goes occasionally for us before his bath). He'll get there eventually, I know, but I thought he would be easier since he sees James go every day.

Well, that's all the news I can think of. I still don't like the new format, but I guess I'm getting used to it.

Congratulations to your DH on his new job, it sounds like he is taking it in stride. I had to LOL at the tub story, my almost two year did that a few days ago. I have never seen Shelby move as fast as she did when she realized what was floating in the tub.

Congratulations to your DH on his new job. I guess in today's economy, we're all just "happy" to have a job. Hopefully things will pick up and he can find something better.

LOL at the poop in the tub story too. Both my kids did that - just once. Once was all it took to scare the *rap (no pun intended - LOL) out of them and they never did it again. LOL!!
