Ds5 and I have been working on tying his shoes but for the summer convience I like for him to have velcro sneakers and I can not find them anywhere...only zipper ones which don't really work as well...they seem to fall off...any ideas on where to find them...

(I keep loosing my post!!! This is my 3rd attempt!) Do you have a "Payless" store near you? I seen them there about a month ago (they were all character sneakers.....spiderman, incredible hulk, etc.) I also seen some at Target about a week & 1/2 ago. Can ya do sandals? There are lots of velcro ones out there now.

Just another suggestion.....I was just thinking (as I was cleaning up Joshua's sneakers for church tomorrow :0) )...I don't know how picky your ds is about his shoes (Joshua is VERY picky! LOL!) but I just got him a pair at K-Mart a month ago that are neither velcro, tie, nor zipper. They are black & white and called "Everlast". He just slips his foot in. Now you would think they would come off easily but they don't, they stay put. They're really nice. Maybe you could check out something like that, have him try 'em on and see if they'll come off his feet or not.

Try Payless, Lisa. You have to replace them more often, though.

I've had excellent luck with slip-on sneakers from the Gap. They don't fall off, they wear like iron, they are worn with socks and they come in dark colors so they never look grubby, LOL! It is my personal goal, however, to have DS learn which one goes on which foot sometime before he leaves for college! ;-)
