but I have a question. I've been mainly on the 6-7 yr old board, but this is about Sally,(4) so hopefully someone can help. Some of you may remember Sally has some sensory integration delays with her motor skills. They are mild, but her rotary movements like walking, pedaling, etc have always been 1-2 yrs behind average. Not really a problem for us.

The testing done has always placed her coginitive abilities 1-2 years ahead. Which is why we're getting concerned. The past few months she's been losing the ability to complete simple tasks, like please get your shoes. Her focus is totally gone. She's also been chewing and sucking things more, which I know is related to the sensory integration. She has ear tubes in place and her hearing was just retested, so I know thats OK.

Does anyone have a resource re: this type of delay or know if her inability to complete a task is because of this delay. She is very verbal and does understand what's said. She just isn't following thru. BTW, Dylan was not this way at 4, so I'm not sure if it's age related or not. Thanks

I'm learning more about sensory integration through trainings, Sarah. I will look into this and get back to you soon. Give me a week, though, with work and all, OK? HUHGS
