I'm only asking because one of Joshua's buddies can't seem to chew gum without swallowing it. I've given him gum on three diffent occasions and each time he swallows it. The first time I just figured it was by accident, the second time I gave it to him he ended up swallowing it again, and the third time I gave it to him I remembered too late. Right after I gave it to him the third time I reminded him not to swallow his gum, that when he was finished chewing it he should throw it in the trash. He swallowed it about 5 minutes after he got it. I ask him, "Billy", did you swallow your gum? Do you remember me telling you to throw it in the trash when your through with it?" I just get an "Oh ya" out of him.
Joshua has been chewing on gum for a loooooong time now (Shoot, my youngest (3 next month) has been chewing gum without swallowing it for some time) and I don't know why but I just figured they were old enough to know better than to swallow it. (He says he chews gum at home but I haven't asked his mom about it yet). So, I'm just curious, does your child chew gum without swallowing it?
