Hi Ellen! Sorry to hear about your bedtime issues. This is such a common problem for little ones. My son usually wakes up really early and comes to our bed. He used to try to come to our bed in the middle of the night but I would take him right back to his room and put him to bed. Luckily that worked for him. Have you asked your daughter why she's waking up? Is there a noise or something that is waking her up? Does she get up to go to the bathroom, or is she just waking up for the sole purpose of going to your bed? When she comes to your bed and you take her back to her bed I would just put her in her bed but not lie down with her. This may be the reason she continues to go to your room. She knows that if she gets up that you will go to bed with her. Instead, put her in her bed and either leave the room and play some soft music for her or try the SuperNanny approach and sit near her bed until she's almost asleep (or fully asleep) and leave the room. Each night sit further away from the room until you get to the point that you're just putting her in the room and leaving. Another option is to put a baby gate in her doorway. This won't work if she can climb over it or gets up to use the bathroom. Good luck!

I have no good advice for you since this is exactly what my daughter was doing. She has now been in our bed for over 9 months now-hehe. No signs of letting up anytime soon. I am hoping when we move that maybe she will want to go back to her new Backyardigans room. Trish :)
