I TOTALLY agree with you, Karen.

Just watching the news this morning - Iraqis knocking down Saddam's pictures, celebrating in the streets, etc. - brought tears to my eyes (and is right now). I just can't imagine the life they've lived all these many years and how extremely overjoyed they must be with this taste of freedom.

It is SO AWESOME.

As you know, I was not a huge proponent of this war in the beginning. But, I too am extremely proud of our troops and overjoyed with the freedom they're bringing to Iraq!!!!

Ditto here. I wasn't totally in favor of this war, even though I knew it was probably necessary, but it made my heart glad to see all those Iraqis cheering and celebrating in the streets. And maybe looting isn't such a good thing, but for them to have the courage to do it, especially from the government buildings? More power to them. I saw a kid carrying a box, and he stopped on the curb for a second when he saw the reporter, and when the camera focused on him, then he smiled directly at the camera, said or sang something, and trotted off with his box.

U.S. and England ROCKS!!!

I am ecstatic also!! I wish I could be there to rejoice with them!! I am extremely saddened that innocent people had to die but, that is war and they died by the hands of their own leader. I am so thankful for the coalition troops who lay down their lives for us and the Iraqi people and I pray for their friends and families. Thank GOD that monster is no longer in power, Thank you GOD!!

I'm still nervous about all of this. I mean....I support our troops,a nd I feel good for those Iraquis that want this. I am a bit nervous about those who don't, and want to take over.

Me too. But I like to basking in appropriate moments. This morning's events were definitely something to cheer about. An evil evil man was overthrown. And for that there should be celebration. I hope he gets good and hot, KWIM? And like I said in my original post, there's still a lot of work to be done. And hey, look at Kuwait. I think they have found a happy medium between democracy and traditional Arabic teachings.
