What fun fall activities are you and your family doing this year?

So far we've visited the apple orchard and we plan to go to the corn maze and pumpkin patch,

It never really feels like fall here in Texas, at least compared to when I was growing up in Michigan. We did the pumpkin patch last weekend while my parents were here. Luckily it did stay in the high 70's, so at least it was pleasant. That is about all we'll likely do.

I love fall and all but between soccer, hockey and DH need to watch football on Sunday we never seem to do anything :) OK to be honest I don't have a desire to do apple oicking EVERY YEAR. I mean it same thing and they charge you $25 to fill a bag and usually the apples are picked over more then at the supermarket. Its a every few years thing in our house. I have been in a baking mood so do wish I had gone so I could make some apple treats but its getting late and good apples are gone.

My little one is going pumpkin picking friay for his school field trip if sucky rainy weather doesn't ruin it. And weekend before halloween I am taking him to a jackolatorn thing in the city. Sounds cool they are floating jackolatins on a pound. And there will be a costume parade.

It would be weird for us to go to the pumpkin patch when it is 70 degrees out! Usually we are bundled up sipping on hot cocoa. lol I'd say it is usually in the 50's when we go.

Wow! Those are some pricey apples! We spent $10 for a huge bag of apples we picked. I think we must have been early to the picking this year because there were so many trees to pick from. It was great! And your little weekend before Halloween sounds like so much fun!! I wish they did something like that around here. :)

Completely agree with you on the 70's and pumpkin patch. The first year Emma, the middle one, was big enough to go we went to a farm and it was in the 80's and it was MISERABLE! And, what I don't get is, down here in Texas, you don't get to go out in the field and pick a pumpkin. They just have pumpkins piled up on top of hay bales and all over for you to pick from. It really kind of takes the fun out of it for me personally. We did finally find a place last year that has a corn maze and they change it every year, so we have been there 2 years in a row now and this year they added a big bouncy "pillow" for the kids to jump on, and a small "train ride" of individual train cars that are painted to look like cows. But its still definitely not what i am used to, but I suppose as long as they have their own fond memories of fall when they grow up, that's all that matters.

So true. That will be their normal and they'll have fond memories. But yeah... a pumpkin patch isn't piled up pumpkins! LOL! Half the fun is stomping through the field and picking it off the vine. :)

Here's a picture of two of my boys in the corn maze this past weekend.  It was such a nice day and we had tons of fun!
