Actually it's a good phase. Jessica is being very attentive and helpful. She still argues over toys with her 2 younger sisters but is trying hard to set up a new schedule for herself and add chores to the list of things to do.

We are so proud of Shane right now. He's showing great restraint at baseball practice and acting like the leader that he is growing into. All the other boys misbehave, don't listen, climb the back stop (parents???? I don't know where they...KWIM???) He keeps to himself, listens to both DH and I and makes us so incredibly proud. He has got great self control and shows much promise for self discipline in the future.

The great big sister phase. Actually, I'm hoping it's not just a phase. LOL!

Alexandra just adores her little brother so much. Yesterday, she went to a bday party of a former preschool classmate. DS was pretty sad he couldn't go. The theme of the party was Spirit/cowboys and all the kids got cowboy hats, bandanas, plastic horses and deputy stars. When I picked her up, she told me she wanted to give it all to Christian (and she did). We had to go to the store for a few items and she picked out a treat for Christian too. Then she asked when we were going home because she said, "I miss Christian!". AWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

We always praise her for being so sweet, helpful and such a great big sister. Hopefully, Christian will appreciate it some day. He was back to stepping on her toes and "pushing all her buttons" 2 minutes after she got home. ARRRGGGHHH!!

Has he been sick? I find my DS has trouble separating when he's not feeling 100%. Also, has anything at the school changed--a new child, maybe he got in a squabble with someone there or maybe the teacher reprimanded him about something and he's afraid (even if it's really mild, it could still upset him).

You could try asking the teacher if there's anything new.

Just an idea.

Talkaholic! He just chatters non-stop and asks a million questions. Even when he is doing something like his Leappad, he's talking all about it, and wanting me to look at whatever it is on the page.

It's nice he's so interactive and speaks so well, but sometimes my head starts to spin!

Great question Janet. Shelby is going thru the "helper" phase. All I hear all evening is "can I help". It doesn't matter if I am cooking, doing laundry, even cleaning. I have never seen her room so tidy. She is even picking up her sister's room every evening. I hope this phase lasts a loooong time.

I am just mortified that my 4 year old son is showing his private parts at preschool, and asking the girls to show him theirs!!! We have had the privacy talk before, and had it yet again yesterday with me in tears. (More over embarrassment, I think.) I can just imagine what the parents of the girls involved are thinking! I know that my son is simply curious, because he has no idea what sex is, but I'm afraid others will think it is a sexual thing. Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

That's great! It's nice to have a good phase to go through, isn't it?
