I've decided to gently ease DS into nice but slightly "older" shows like Arthur (has some good themes about interpersonal relationships, which can be especially useful for kids like my son who are on the autistic spectrum), so that he can keep up with his peer group to an extent, but let him still see his Dora and Little Bear tapes, too. Little Bear, in particular, is such a precious show about family and friendship and all that good stuff, with such a calm and quiet pace...I hate to take it away just so DS can be "in" with the older, more visually charged shows some of his classmates watch. He has shown an interest in Spongebob, but I think I need to watch a few episodes myself to see if that's appropriate yet or not...

thanks so much!

What a good mommy you are! Preparation is the key, and supervision is even better! Bravo, mommy! Bravo!
