Nathan has pink eye AGAIN! Sheeze, can't this kid catch a break? I made him promise me at dinner that after he completes his antibiotic (for sinuses) and his eye drops that he wouldn't get sick anymore! He just looked at me and said I'll try! Poor guy. I haven't worried about vitamins because he's a very good eater, but I'm going to start him on one. I've got to do something! If anyone else has any other ideas, let me know. We've just about had it.

Thanks, Stephanie

I know that head smacking feeling. Poor Nathan. I wish I had some advice. All I can say is that we have finally seemed to get Alex straightned out. His Tonsils and Adenoids seemed to help a lot and we finally identified via blood test that he is SERIOUSLY allergic to mold which has caused a lot of his problems. He has not needed ANY asthma meds since surgery and the nasonex should help with the mold allergy.

My advice is to keep pushing the doctors to look a little harder. Seemed we were treating Asthma for so long , took two years to figure out his problems were the mold and the fact that his Adenoids/tonsils contributed to lengthening his colds to the point of causing asthma. I guess all the pushing we finally got somewhere. Next cold and flu season will be the real test, however, we just make it through the WORST illness thus far and it was the first one for him that actually did NOT cause asthma attacks and resolved without incident.

HUGS and HEALTHY VIBES to you both!

Thanks Nick, I know if anyone has BTDT it's you. I made another appointment with the ENT. I have a feeling Nate is going to need his tonsils removed as well. I'm glad it helped so much with your ds, I hope it does the same with mine! Take care!

{{{{hugs}}}}

Not sure if this is actually true or not, but my mother swears you can give pinkeye back to yourself via bath towels, sheets, etc. It doesnt make clinical sense to me, particularily, but she's got alot more pinkeye experience than I do. I will admit I don't change the sheets more often, just use a new towel every time when we've all got pinkeye going, and no repeats since we started that.

Hope he DOESNT get sick again--it's April now, sicknesses should be getting better....
