I just received notice from Landon's preschool that kindy registration will begin in a few weeks.  He still has one more year to go in pre-Kindergarten, so no need for us to register just yet, but I'm wondering if others here are gearing up to do so?  If so, how are you feeling about this big step?

<p>and of course now I am second guessing myself. Its a private kindy and it is cheaper then most preschools we looked at but its $100 more a week then we pay right AND I have to start paying some in June, but I keep telling myself tuition is from June to March so this time next year we will be making our final BIG tuition expense. The after school is weekly so we will pay that until end of the year but come next April I have $400 extra in the bank, but anxiety is high now. Oh and his kindy testing is TWO days after my oldest has surgery...geeze can EVERYTHING in my life happen AT ONCE!!</p>

Uggghhhh.  It always seems like things happen all at the same time.  It is such a hard decision to make, especially when everything is so darn expensive!  You are right that next year at this time you will be so happy that you will be done with that tuition.  That's a big chunk of money!

His kindergarten will also be at the school by our home rather than the city where I work, so not only will he be farther away, it will also be a bunch of people we don't know there. eek!</p>

Oh, that is a big change for all of you! Is your son your oldest child?  It really is amazing how easily they (usually) adjust, though.  I think that sometimes it is harder on us than it is on them!

<p>We miss the kindy cut off in our town by 17 days but looking into private kindy. On the fence but the idea is he is still going to do kindy again the following year in public school just private kindy cheaper then preschool. From a financial standpoint when he is official in public kindy there will be a HUGE relief but emotionally it means no more babies :(</p>

Awww!  I know that emotional tug you are talking about.  Landon is my youngest so every one of his firsts is so bittersweet!  They just grow up so darn fast!
