Worried about phthalates in kids' toys?

Phthalates are commonly found in products, especially plastic, like we find in many children's toys. Recent studies have challenged phthalates and indicated possible health risks http://www.pbs.org/now/shows/412/, like reproductive disorders and weight problems. So far it's been hard to tell how dangerous they may be, but concern keeps growing. California has started regulations against phthalate use in products, and the European Union has a ban on the chemical compound. Do you think more products should have warning labels, or should there be an outright ban? Are you already avoiding products with phthalates, or are you waiting for more news?

Everyone is finding something new to worry about healthwise everyday it seems. I'm sure all the generations that drank out of plastic baby bottles turned out ok... I know I did and I definitely don't have a weight issue and am a mother so no reproductive issues there. This of course is just my opinion- everyone is entitled to their own.
