So starting at the beginning of Novemeber I started a new job that for that month until DH could transfer I was traveling back and forth between the two locations and would be away for days at a time. DS (almost 3 years) did pretty well with that when he was just with DH. So 1st weekend of December we made the mostly full move to our new location and DH started at his new location today.
DS has his room set up and his playroom. I am working odd hours including some overnights which is new for DS.
Since we have gotten to the new house (which is larger and has multiple levels instead of one), DS has been having trouble with bedtime. He is not napping either unless we are in the car. but that is not new. He will get up repeatedly and as ask us to lay with him for "just one more minute".
Does anyone have any advice where the line is between reasonable catering to expected stress and insecurity vs. avoiding letting him play us and get into bad habits? I don't want to be hard nosed about it when he probably has some valid concerns and needs the reassurance. But I can;t get him in the habit of having one of us in bed with him until either he falls asleep or for the night!
