This is a folder to welcome all of the newbies to our board.
Hi, Rebekah, I'm Vickie and I've just started watching a friend of mine's two year old little boy and her 4 year old daughter for about 7 hours once a week while she goes with my 11 year old dd and another friend and my dd's dog and their dogs to
Co cl of the Dog Training and Behavior Board
Good morning Vickie and welcome to the board! I am Maria.
I have a 2 1/2 year old and some activities that I do with her are PlayDoh.....she is really into helping mommy so next time we are going to actually make it instead of buy it. We do a lot of coloring....using markers and crayons. When it is nice outside, I bring out the sidewalk chalk and let her go crazy on the driveway. I also let her play with watercolor's since they aren't as messy as paint.
HTH, I look forward to getting to know you :)
Thanks Rebekah I'd appreciate anything you can find. I think these
Hi everybody! I just found this board. My name is Terena(27) and I've been married to my DH Tim(29) for 2 years. We have 2 daughters. Gina Marie (born 5/1/04) and Emalee Rose (born 8/22/05). My older daughter is starting to act like a toddler so I need all the help I can get.
Can't wait to meet everyone :)
Hi I'm new also, although I've jumped in and added a few posts already without really introducing myself....how rude!
I've spent the last almost two years obsessing on the TTC boards while TTC #2, and now that I'm finally pregnant, I needed to find another board to hang out at. Since DS will be 3 in January, I figured this was a good fit and it looked like I might be able to find some good information here as I get serious about diaper training and what not.
I work part-time as a technical writer for a software company and DS is in daycare Mon-Wed. We alternate care every Thursday with DH's parents and my parents. Actually the grandparents were our only daycare for the first year that I returned to work, but after a year of that, I decided the commute was too much for me. Both sets of grandparents live about 45 min away from our house, so it was getting to be a little too much for me.
Baby #2 is expected in May and I'm hoping to have DS potty trained by then. Really, I think the only reason he isn't already is pure laziness on my part. He uses the potty regularly at daycare (although still uses his diapers/pullups) and will usually sit on the potty and go for me at home when I make a point of working with him. He acually did his first poo in his potty a couple of weeks ago - yeah! Just trying to decide if I should just get more active about having him sit on his potty every hour (still using pullups), or just go cold turkey and put him in his training pants (expecting lots of messes and cleanups for a week or so).
Hoping to be a SAHM when baby #2 comes, but still trying to convince DH on that one. Wish me luck!
Welcome to the board Barb!
