Hello Everyone!

I posted on here a while back on my 3-year-old son Schuyler's potty training regression, and boy, here we go again.

We had success with my DS using the naked method. There was a long transition period I waited two waited two weeks to introduce underwear back. Then when I put underwear all he had was accidents. So we went back to going naked from the waist down. I talked with some moms of boys and received a few tips. Buy the underwear a size larger then what they wear this way it won't rub them when they wear it. Try the naked method for a few weeks, and then introduce underwear and then act like you are trying over from scratch. Put the underwear on, and then set a timer starting around 20 minutes, and move up from there. There will be a transition period, a week or so. I hope that helps. Please keep us updated on your DS progress.

As Christine mentioned, the naked method is a great one,but the one thing you must remember, for any method to work,it will take time, find a method, like naked or the three strikes and stay at it for at least a couple of weeks,(unless it works sooner),if he does not respond in that time,go back to thick cloth training pants with plastic pants,I do not recommend diapers or pull-ups as these just delay any training at all.(to comfy)

sometimes they understand all to well, that they are basically in control, and we just have to be consistent enough for them to realize we mean business.

As for his night time wetting, this is an area that neither he nor us have any control, this will remedy itself

When we went out I continued to use cloth diapers, and if DS mentioned having to use the potty while we were out we did, and as soon as we returned home the diaper came off. As for having people over, if it was just parents or immediate family we just put a bigger shirt on him, and let him go, everyone understood, s they had been there before. They knew he was being potty trained and didn't want to make him change his routine for that.
