hi, my daughter is 27 month and has been day-time potty trained since about 20 months, problem is she fell asleep on the couch and pee'd on it, a few days ago, i didn't know about it because i had foot surgery and have been confined to certain areas and that one was not my favorite for sitting lol, and no one else bothered to mention it. so now its probably been about 3-4 days, and i have no clue how to get the smell out, anyone have any ideas? thanks

Hello wvdreamer.

I have used baking soda, just sprinkle it over the area and wait a day or two and just vacuum it up,works pretty good.

there is also a heavy duty cleaner called Bio-Clean,and a product of the same type in pet stores for animal pee smells.

If you have this fear when you go out visiting or on a long trip, you might think of using plastic panties over her regular ones,at least they would help contain the accident and not bother her about wearing them.

I hope this helps some.

Many Blessings.

wvdreamer07, Hi and welcome to the Toilet Teaching board.

If you spray vinegar on the area it will kill the smell. I know many who have also used cleaners that are to remove pet odor. I hope that helps.
