It may take a week or two... it did for me and I started potty-training early by some standards (16m - dd, and 18m - ds). After the first month accidents were usually only once or twice a day and by the end of four months we were accident-free except for rare circumstances.
I hear that there are fewer accidents if you wait to start, but I figure I have to wipe a butt anyways, might as well put them on the potty.

Glad it's going better!
I never really believed in Pull-ups for the same reason.
Once out of diapers,I buy thicker cloth training pants and plastic pants to go over them.Once they get better at holding it longer,go with regular underpants with the plastic pants , just in case.but it should not take to long.

We are in the potty training world at my house too! I just wanted to recommend a great product I found for travel and the potty training kid.

It is FANTASTIC! It folds flat and will sit on a standard size toilet like a toddler seat or stands up to be a potty chair. It comes with bags so you can just toss the mess away. I LOVE IT! I was a little curious how Lilly would do with it but she does FANTASTIC on it. I carry it in my purse (it is a larger purse) and some Clorox wipes so I can clean it up after use. Hope it helps! :o)
