My daughter is 2yrs 7 mos. Ever since 2yrs I have been taking her to the potty every so often---she has never went in it but happily sat for a few mins. Well since she will be turning 3 soon I thought I should do something. So yesterday I took her diaper off let her be naked.. ( We had talked previously about no diapers and using the potty) Well she held her pee in for 2hrs or more. She was walking funny and making physical signs she needed to go. I would have her sit on the potty and nothing.

So.I put her in undies then she just let loose. Peed on the pee she was saving up..LOL. We went thru bout 5 or 6 undies and she would never go while on the pot but as soon as the undies were on she would go.

I dont want to cause damage to her by forcing her to go. Its obvious she can hold it I guess she is just trying to control the situation.. Any advice. I also have a 16 mo old and I take them to the potty at the same time and occasionally my 16 mo old will pee in the potty, lol. Maybe she will motivate the older one. Idk any advice on the younger one she seems eager likes the potty and all that.

Hello Cole060783

Sorry so long with the answer,How is they doing now?

I would try using the kitchen timer, set it for say 1 hour, and when it goes off, have your daughter at least sit and try to go,if she does,a small treat, like an m&m's for pee and two or three for poop.

If she is still only peeing in her panties, get a few pair of plastic panties to put over her regular ones, this will help save the carpets and feel a bit more uncomfy to her.

Please keep us posted on what you try and thier progress.
