Help...potty issues

First, you'll want to rule out a UTI or other medical problem. When my granddaughter had a UTI, she wasn't having any pain, but she was going A LOT and having a lot of accidents. If she checks out okay, then it might just be laziness, and that she's "too busy" to make it to the potty on time. Try having HER take the responsibility of cleaning up the mess, rinsing out her underwear, and changing her own clothes. This is a natural consequence, and most kids figure out sooner or later, it's easier to listen to their bodies and go when they have to, then to deal with cleaning up the mess. You can also tell her, that you'll have to set a timer for her (and do it for a few days) since she isn't listening to her body. Set the timer for every 2 hours, after naps, meals and snacks. When she starts initiating on her own again, you can get rid of it.
