Okay I have a 3 year old who we've been trying to potty train. He can tell when he has to go and he was doing so good. I dont know what has changed recently but he now flat out refuses to use the toilet. its getting to the point where he'll come get me to tell me he has to use the toilet then starts peeing on the floor with this smug grin on his face. If he doesnt do that he will pee wherever he feels like, or poop for that matter.Or he'll ask for a diaper then pee in it once take it off and throw it away then demand another diaper,always this smug grin, it drives me insane. I dont know what to do anymore and need any advice!!Anything helps!! I feel like the worst mother in the world bc I cant even potty train my child.

You are definitely NOT the worst mother in the world. I have a 3 year old boy as well and they can be so stubborn. We finally got Riley Pee-trained by letting him go naked from the waste down while we were home. If he is outside, I let him go on the grass. Pick out a leaf and go. It makes it fun and makes it a game.
He may not be completely ready to train yet. There's nothing wrong with going back to Pull-ups or diapers full time for a while. He will train.

Ive been making it a game this whole time, I refuse to use the reward system(his dad really wants me to cuz he heard it works) I have a one year old as well and Ive been trying to potty train him, I thought maybe if I gave his brother lots of attention and stuff hed wanna try again(esp since he is VERY competitive) but that didnt work he just cheers his brother on as well lol. My kids are always naked if they are home, lol, we live in an apartment and Im gonna have to steam clean the rugs before we move haha. Its just kinda frustrating cuz he was doing soooo good and now he just refuses!

Have you tried to give the one-year-old a reward? Maybe if he sees little bro get 'rewarded' he will get back on track. I know you said you didn't want to, but it doesn't have to be M&Ms and such. Maybe stickers. Or a jar that, when he goes, a marble(or something) gets added to the jar, then when the jar is full he gets a special snack or gets to choose dinner. That might give him incentive. Especially as he sees little brother's jar filling up and his remaining empty. It's just a suggestion.

I love that he cheers little brother on, tho. How cute!

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time keeping mine dressed at all. LOL

lol actually thats a really good idea! I'll have to pick up some jars and marbles when i go into town today!

My kids never stay dressed neither, they strip down even in public. My mum is mortified by it but i think its funny, kids will be kids eh!
