potty training at home and daycare

I have been gradually potty training my 2 yr old son for some time now, taking a laid back approach. I work full time and he attends daycare during that time. We are potty training full time now at home and at the daycare center. The daycare says he is doing great. They said he goes when they take him and he knows when he has to go. He goes at home,

aprilshowerzz, Hi and welcome to the Toilet Teaching board.

MY suggestion would be put him underwear when you get home in the evenings. Set a timer for every hour or so, and when the timer goes off your DS must stop what he is doing and go to the potty. See how he does. If after a week there are not many accidents, send him to daycare with underwear on. I hope that helps. Please keep us updated on your DS progress.

I fully agree with Christina,I would talk with the daycare and see how they would feel about having him go with cloth training pants with plastic pants and a few changes of cloths.

There is no big rush to have him trained, but it does sound like he is quite ready as he is doing so good at day care, this is normal as they have a schedule there, that he does not have at home.

Please keep us up-dated.

Many Blessings.
