3 year-old daughter pelvic injury

Hi!  I have never posted here before but I am looking for some advice.  My 3 year-old daughter fell this afternoon on the ladder of our playground in the backyard.  She fell directly on her cr*tch - ladder rung between her legs.  There was a lot of crying and eventually, once she calmed down, she let me look briefly to see what had been hurt.  I couldn't really 'separate things' as she started to fuss but there were a couple drops of blood in her underwear.  After this she played just fine and was sitting fine, etc, but it took a lot of convincing to get her to pee when she needed to as she said it hurt.  She ended up peeing her pants sitting on my lap.  Once she realized it didn't hurt to do that she was more willing to sit on the toilet but still a little nervous about it.  By the way, she has been fully toilet-trained for months and we have had no issues.  Do you think I should be concerned about this fall and potential injury??  Does it sound serious or just a minor cut that will heal itself and not require a doctor?  She will barely let me look at it, I know she would never let a doctor look.  Do we just wait and see?  I am sort of worried but sort of not.  Just not really sure what to think.  Help please!  Any experience with this kind of thing??  Thanks so much!

Well here we are next day and she seems totally fine. Sat on the toilet this morning (which took a little convincing, but not like yesterday) and had a big pee. She said it didn't hurt at all. She is 'wrestling' with her Dad and brothers and says everything feels fine. Phew!! So no doctor if things continue this way.

I'm so glad to hear that she is doing better. I can imagine that was a scary experience for you both. Keep us posted on how she's doing. HUGS to you, mama!

Oh you are sweet!  Thanks so much for the note.  I was starting to think nobody cared :smileysad:  LOL just kidding.  She is still good but now complaining that her tummy's sore on and off.  I have no idea if this is related or not or what the problem would be if it was but I'm freaking out a little bit.  Finger's crossed this goes away and everything is good!!!

Awww... of course we care! :smileyhappy:

I'm sorry to hear that her tummy is upset now! Maybe it would be a good idea to take her to her pediatrician just to check that all is well? It will put your mind at ease one way or another. Hang in there, mama, and please let us know how she's doing.
