Another potty issue

My daughter turned 3 in Sept. She refuses the potty... I am at wits end as I also have a 19 month old son. Have no idea if it is jealousy or just being lazy or stubborn. Her dad and I are soooooooo frustrated. We have offered stickers, rewards, etc... Her pediatrican says it is a control issue... Anyone have any ideas? I cannot afford to keep 2 kids in diapers and pull ups.. Thanks!
Logan was similar. Basically all we did was put him in underwear (we completely stopped pullups) and started potty training. we had issues with him not wanting to poop.. but he got over that pretty quickly too. We pretty much just reminded him every hour that he needed to try... and we left it to him if he wanted to or not. After 2-3 days... he was good to go!
Logan did not respond to rewards or bribes either. Darn them!!!
My daughter is the same way.,..she has good days and bad days...she'll gladly poop in the potty if I catch her pooping in her pants...otherwise she just goes in her pants....we've done every bribe, reward, training program there is...
Our pediatrician said to nix the pull-ups because they sent a mixed message...He said to put her in a diaper and explain when she is ready to poop and pee in the potty, she can wear panties, and when she wears panties she has to go in the potty. (it's not really working either...but it might for you)
We're frustrated bc I potty trained her at 2, and she did great. She reverted a few months later...and then we re=potty trained at 2 1/2 and she did great until she turned 3...now she has reverted again. I have no advice...just letting you know, you're not alone...and I am struggling with you...

Macie turned 3 Aug. 31st and I also have a 19 month old little girl.. (Oh yeah and a 6 month old boy!)...Anyway..
The naked thing was the ONLY thing that worked for us (thank goodness it was summer).
I would try The Potty Boot Camp by Suzanne Riffel... it worked wonders for my daughter. I was beginning to think potty training was hopeless when someone recommended it to me. Good luck!
In reference to potty training, here’s a segment from the recent pre-released Freakonomics movie covering the surprising link between potty training and economics and how parents, like economists, use incentives to reach ideal outcomes. In this clip, acclaimed economist Steven Levitt explains how his young daughter outsmarted his potty-training scheme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1gm2NuxQjg).
Enjoy!

Pull-ups don't do a good job, either, of containing everything the way a diaper does. We have our 2 yr old in pull-ups right now,but they always seem to leak.
