My daughter is 3.5 and I think she is a bit behind on her speech.

Have you done preschool screening yet? One of the things they do is listen to the speech of your child and can give you recommendations. I would also suggest talking to your pediatrician. They will now best as well. There is a large range for many skills that are considered "normal". Logan is usually very clear in his speech - but even at 4 years, there are things that I occasionally struggle to understand. I definitely agree with you - if your child needs speech therapy, the sooner the better... but it would be good to get expert opinions too. :)

Its hard to say. It could be a speech disorder... in which case a speech pathologist could help her.

Or perhaps you are worrying too much.

Good luck!

I think I am worrying too much. She played with a four year old girl all day on Saturday and spoke better and knew more than the four year old. The girls father was astounded at how much Keeley knew. I asked her teacher and she said Keeley's speech seemed average to her. It's in my nature to worry! Drive my DH crazy.
