I've done it before. When my oldest was a toddler I decided that I wasn't happy with the rushed wellness visits we were experiencing and ended up changing pediatricians. I eventually found one that I loved and we've been with him for about ten years now.

How about you? Have you ever fired your pediatrician? If so, what were your reasons?

Are you currently happy with the one you have? If so, what do you love about your current pediatrician?

When is it time to fire your child's pediatrician?- http://moms.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/01/23/10216045-when-is-it-time-to-fire-your-childs-pediatrician

I loved my first Pediatrician and I still do but DH got a job 3 hours away so we moved. After a year my Pediatrician told me this is crazy you have to find someone closer. I have been thru 3 Pediatricians since and I have really given up.
The one I have now is a large group and they have hours 7 days a week 12 hours a day so if my kids are sick they can be seen quickly. That is all I can say the concern and care are not there. Its a different Dr every time and they don't even look up from the chart to talk to you. I haven't even seen a Dr I would like to see again. The nursing staff is great and the PA are very good as well.

Oh, bummer! It is so hard to find a new doctor when you are so super happy with the one you have. We moved about 30 minutes from the doctor I like and I've just stayed with him- I don't think I could have done the same thing if he was 3 hours away!

I'm sorry you don't like the new office. It does sound like they have some great options- but it would be super hard seeing a new doc each time. :(
