When it's too hot, or raining, and you're stuck indoors with a 2-3 year old your sanity can go quickly.

Make tents (call it a circus tent and act out a circus for some added fun)

make an obstacle course or scavenger hunt for the kids to go on

call grandma(s) on the video chat

Oh, great tip about the sidewalk paint. We made some the other day with little pieces of chalk and cold water. It was great but this sounds even better!

My kids love making tents! They call them their forts and usually set them up by the TV and then climb inside and watch a movie.

My daughter likes to "wash" dishes or fold laundry so if I know that the weather will be bad, I save dishes and clothes for her.

We'll do the occasionally baking of cookies and painting and coloring. Blocks here and there. And I will print off activity stuff from nickjr.com. I have a 2 and 4 year old, so I try to balance it out so that its not too hard for the 2 year old, but not too easy for the 4 year old. I haven't done much with playdoh yet, dispite the insistence of the 4 year old. But it may be something we have fun with soon.

We do lots of painting and playdough, playing games (candyland is a favorite), playing hide and seek or tag in the house, or "helping" mom around the house. She loves to play with her play kitchen when i am working in the kitchen, so that helps keep her occupied when I'm busy.

We do playdoh, painting and crafting (AC moore has craft kits for like $1), turn on music and have a dance party, have a pretend beauty salon, bake cookies and whatnot, play computer games on nick jr, and putting water in the tub and just letting the play
