Have you taken your 2/3 yr old to the movies yet?  If so, what did you see?  What was his/her experience like inside of the theater?

My youngest is 4 now, but we had taken her along with her older sister so several movies when she was 3ish.  There were some that were just plain too long for her, some that would have been fine if we had gotten there as the movie was starting and hadn't sat through the previews, and some that she just plain wouldn't sit through.  I think she was 2 1/2 when we all saw Gnomeo and Juliet and by far that one was the best, because they sang almost the entire movie, it held her attention really well.

I've had the same types of experiences with Landon. It really depends on the movie.  We took them to see The Croods at the dollar theater a few weeks ago.  Cute movie- but we ended up making 4 bathroom trips.  It just didn't hold his attention and he just wanted to get up and explore I think!  I'm dying to see Despicable Me 2 as well, but because of our last experience, I think it may wait until it hits the dollar theater too.

I was debating the Croods at the dollar theater, thanks for the heads up.  I think we'll wait until it hits Red Box to see it then.  We saw Despicable Me 2 2 weekends ago and the kids LOVED it!  I had no problem at all with them sitting through the entire thing.

I've heard nothing but good things about Despicable Me 2.  That's for sure on our must-see list!  Glad to hear your girls enjoyed it. :)

The Croods was good for sure- my older boys loved it- Landon just didn't have the attention for it for some reason.
